The Equipment Needed

How To Make Caprese Skewers

Making these skewers is extremely easy. You first build your tomato, mozzarella and basil skewers, and then you drizzle on your balsamic reduction.

Crafting The Balsamic Reduction

In a small sauce pan, pour in your balsamic vinegar, honey and sugar. Give it a good mix and then heat over low heat until it comes to a gentle simmer.

Continue to cook until it reduces about 20% of the original volume and the liquid becomes thick & sticky. Then remove from the heat and set aside.

Creating your Caprese Salad Skewers

Take your bamboo skewers and begin to assemble your kebabs.

Start with a fresh basil leaf, followed by a cherry tomato, mozzarella ball, then another basil. Repeat until you’ve filled up the entire skewer.

Assemble as many skewers as you have or until you run out of your ingredients.

Plate on a platter and then drizzle on your balsamic vinegar reduction – be generous, as this sweet & tangy sauce really brings your caprese skewers to life.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Can You Make Caprese Skewers Ahead Of Time?

Yes, you certain can make them ahead of time, and store them in the fridge until ready to serve. But I would recommend making them no more than 2 hours ahead because the punctured tomatoes will start to lose their firmness over time.
