Dalgona coffee is a whipped coffee drink that combines a rich Korean instant coffee cream topped over a glass of milk, typically cold or hot, creating a layered effect. The result is a creamy, sweet coffee beverage with a thick layer of frothy coffee on top.

The name dalgona comes from a Korean toffee candy called “dalgona” due to its similar appearance to the frothy coffee mixture.

Using your hand mixer, whip the ingredients on high speed until the mixture reaches a creamy, foamy consistency. (Should be able to create “peaks” like the one pictured above, with the cream.)

Pro Tip: You can also whip the mixture manually with a whisk, if you don’t have a hand mixer, but it might just take a while.

Next, take your coffee glass and fill it about 2/3 way with cold milk.
