How To Make Fresh Peach Syrup

This peach syrup recipe is incredibly simple. Begin by washing, coring, slicing and peeling your peaches. Afterwards, wash and slice your lemons in half, as well.

Then, in your stock pot, combine your white sugar, agave nectar, lemon juice and water, over medium heat.

Bring the mixture to a low simmer, then add in your peeled and cut peaches.
Give everything a good mix and let it come back to a low simmer.

Let the mixture simmer for about 15 minutes and then remove from the heat and let it sit for another 5 minutes for it to cool a bit.
Strain Your Syrup

Take your strainer or ladle and carefully transfer just the liquid from your peach syrup into a heat-safe jar or container. (The macerated peaches can be used as a topping for pancakes or yogurt.)

Where does 522 mg sodium come from?
Umamiology
Ah great catch – these nutritional facts come from just an estimate in an online database of the ingredients. I’ve taken a look and I think the type of sugar it used to estimate the nutrition was not the same plain white sugar I used. I’ve made the correction now.
